Patient Participation Group

We are a small, informal group of patients registered at The Southgate Surgery.

We are volunteers who aim to represent the views of patients.

We have a chair, vice-chair and up to 20 members.

The practice manager, or her representative, attends all meetings.

We address matters raised in patient surveys and questionnaires e.g. appointment waiting times.

We regularly attend the surgery to share information with patients.

We encourage patients to complete feedback surveys in order to improve patients’ experiences.

We are here to support the practice.

We have helped the practice achieve its target for patients registered for online services.

We have helped the practice achieve its target for patient surveys completed each month.

We represented patients at a GP meeting to discuss the impact of increasing patient numbers.

We have reviewed all noticeboards, suggesting how information can be displayed more clearly.

We have meetings approximately every two months.

We hold an annual general meeting every year, in September.

We would welcome additional members.

We want to recruit people from all ethnicities, all ages (over 18), all genders, all backgrounds.
